Anyone from the soon-to-be relegated clubs worth getting?
Looking increasingly likely it'll be Fulham, Hudderfield and Cardiff dropping through the trapdoor.
Who, from them, would you look to get in?

Fulham - Mitrovic only, I suppose. Sessegnon possibly too, but will probably go to Spurs. No one else though.
Huddersfield - That young midfielder Alex Pritchard is pretty good, albeit a bit small. Billing looks decent too.
Cardiff - No one whatsoever.

Billing, all day long. We should go nuts out for him.

Mitrovic is a huge NO for me.

Yeah, I've always liked Billing too.

Presumably Sessegnon (sp) will be pursued by bigger teams.

Seri could be a good shout. would fit perfectly next to Rice

Emperors new clothes for me with Sessegnon. He’s never produced anything above average whenever I’ve seen him play. Mitrovic is a yard or two too slow, and has as many bookings in him as goals.

Billings is a great shout. Mooy isn’t bad, but not what we should be looking for. The Cardiff keeper is decent, but prob wouldn’t want to be understudy to Fabianski.

should not sign players from relegated sides

read it here when we signed Fabianski last summer

Re: Anyone from the soon-to-be relegated clubs worth getting?
This time last year Mooy at Huddersfield looked a decent player but like Huddersfield themselves hasn't looked too great this year or maybe it's because we haven't seen them much. Shows how good Scott Parker was when he stood out in the year we went down, and how shit the other 10 were!!!

Part of me thinks Mitrovic but the other half says stay well clear.

Anyone that Vexed and Alex V don't rate are worth a look.

Don't want Mitrovic, he's too OBESE for us.

Billing looks tidy, Sessengon will develop into a very good player, but Fulham will command big bucks for him

Re: Anyone from the soon-to-be relegated clubs worth getting?
From what I’ve seen of PL team’s players in the bottom third none of them would enhance our present squad much if at all.

We need to bring in squad improvers in the summer not squad fillers.

Billing

He looks a player.

Mitrovic replacing Carroll as 4th choice and half the wage would be good business, depending on transfer fee.

Re: Anyone from the soon-to-be relegated clubs worth getting?
I remember watching Billing in one of his first ever games for Huddersfield and he completely dominated and controlled the midfield even at a young age. He looked big, strong and had a great touch and vision too. At the right club, around better players, I think he could be pretty decent. Not sure how much he’d cost though.

Sessegnon is a top player.... will be plenty of takers...

Re: Anyone from the soon-to-be relegated clubs worth getting?
I get the feeling Mitrovic wouldn't be happy being signed as back up.

And I'd hope our first choice striker was better than him.

Re: Anyone from the soon-to-be relegated clubs worth getting?
Billing is a top player and would complement Rice very well. Would certainly want to go a long way to get him in.

Mitrovic has a touch of a Arnie in him with his arrogance, can blow hot and cold. Not entirely sure about him, but we will need to get in two strikers and he could do a job.

Dont really see any from Cardiff

Re: Anyone from the soon-to-be relegated clubs worth getting?
Only Mitrovic. Him Arnie +1 other next season with Antonio Silva etc as back up would be good

No one else sticks out from those 3 sides, even Sessengon hasnt shown much in the prem this year. Would want us to set our sights alot higher then Billing.

Maybe Etheridge as back up to Fab

MItrovic as 4th choice?

Bet he'd be delighted to be 4th choice at West Ham

Re: Anyone from the soon-to-be relegated clubs worth getting?
Hopefully we're looking at better players than they all have, as for once there doesn't seem to be anyone worth a wank, except for maybe Sessegnon.

He's young and clearly has something about him, but wouldn't want to spend a lot on him.

Re: Anyone from the soon-to-be relegated clubs worth getting?
Mitrovic as Carroll's replacement I wouldn't mind. But not as a guaranteed starter and main man like he is at Fulham. I expect they'll want far too much money for him in any case.

I'll get slated for this one, but even though Fulham have been shit, I've seen the odd glimpse of quality in Seri who we were linked with last summer. As well as technical ability and a good range of passing (which were missing through Wilshere always being crocked) he would also bring legs / athleticism to the midfield.

He was massively hyped in the summer and clearly hasn't lived up to that in an awful Fulham side (none of them have really). However now that he's had a year's experience in the PL and is settled in London I think he may prove a decent signing particularly under a coach like Pellegrini. As I say I expect to be cunted on that one...

As others have said Billing as well. Not the finished article but looks a good prospect.

Re: Anyone from the soon-to-be relegated clubs worth getting?
No-one obvious.

But, now we've a boss who knows what he's doing, I'm not going to kick up a fuss if we do end up signing someone from them.

So long as it's not obvious the other way round - i.e., someone obviously shit.
